News From the Pups
The weather here in South Carolina
is a lot like that at home on the farm in North Alabama…
within a few degrees anyway,
so the last few days have been glorious!
Thibbs and I have really been enjoying a frisky romp in the yard
or a quiet nap on the deck !
The only “better” weather I can think of would be…
15 inches of snow blowing in on a
Nor’ Easter!!!
Now that we have discussed the weather ,
I will say we do hope everyone enjoyed a happy Thanksgiving!
Momma cooked quite a bit that day…
Thibby and I made it our dedicated duty to “guard”
the kitchen floor for anything that
might have slipped through her fingers to find itself resting on the floor…
in order to “save” Momma from
the burden of even more drudgery
brought on by the retrieving of a broom and or mop…
out of the goodness of our hearts
We would clean it right up !!!
Yes, that turkey bit, or run away roll could be snatched right up
and disposed of in no time flat!
We are among the best when it comes to
kitchen detail…
Even as young as Thibby is
he “took” right to the job of guarding the kitchen!
Christmas is just around the corner
and I began to noticing that
our Momma & Daddy were not doing their unusual yearly rituals…
No live tree brought inside the house
and adorned with this and that shiny bauble …
no Santa figurines, no stockings
were being hung…
and to beat it all
the first time since last Christmas
the Santa Claus train and it’s track have actually been put up!!
Back in it’s own box…
!!!
Well, I knew Momma had been sick
but, all this was playing mighty heavily on my mind…
I truly was beginning to worry!
When the other night I overheard them discussing
the move.
They were talking about a yard that is 5 acres big,
and all fenced in for
me and our boy Thibby!!
How it’s out in the country ,
and there is a pond…
Hmmmmm
(I foresee Thibby adventures…)
then this morning a stranger knocked on our front door and when Momma let him in they walked all around …
room by room he looked and made notes of all our stuff…
Soon we will be going to a new place to live while our Daddy works on the next project
and just between you and me…
from the way it sounds
I think Thibby and I are going to love it!!
Does anyone know if it ever snows in Southern Georgia?
It won’t be long till we talk to you again with pictures from our new country place!
Till then may all of you enjoy a nice brisk romp in your yard
or a cold breeze blown nap
in the sun!

Thibby Experiences Halloween
The other night Momma put a great big bowl on the table by the front door...
It was full of good smelling stuff...
But, each and every time she saw me peeking over into that bowl
(I'm pretty tall for a baby pup)
she'd tell me
"No Thibby, you don't need that."
Then about dark
our door bell began to ring...
it rang and rang and rang.
All kinds of funny looking little
creatures came up on our
porch...
Many of them
being carted to our house by the
wagons full !
They'd grin and squeal and
beg for treats.
Our Daddy would dig down in that bowl
putting big old hand full's of that
smelly stuff in their buckets !!!
At first...
I was very excited when the bell began to ring...
'cause I thought it might be the
Pizza Boy.
Our Pizza Boy always brings us a
little box of "cheesy bread" !
When it wasn't him I thought about barking...
however,
those funny little creatures kinda
smelled like our special
little fella.
So we just watched our Daddy
give them treats
(funny thing though, he didn't even make any of them "sit" or "lay down")
after awhile they quit coming and the door bell was quiet.
Daddy never ever asked us if
WE
wanted anything out of that bowl...
and I'd a sat and laid down for
him!
That's o.k. though...
'cause the very next mornin'
when no one was lookin'
I used my sneaky Geoffrey
(Giraffe)
lips and got me one of those little
bitty boxes of something...
called "Nerds"..
Hmmmmph !
Don't know what all the fuss was
about...
It didn't taste anything like
chicken, beef, liver, lamb
or even cheese !!!

News Alert
Breaking News...
Breaking News...
This just in...
Somewhere in the midst of the up state South Carolina...
a strange phenomena has taken hold!
(it's actually striking all across our great land)
Many specialist have looked into this only to shake
their heads in
wonder
and disbelief .
A questionable diseas has
been attacking
Great Pyrenees Pups across
the land !!!
This, for to now, unexplained
diseas first
attacks somewhere about
the toes
and then crawls right up their furry sleeves!
None are completely immune!!
It seems to strike all of them
from the friskiest young
to the highly regal
sitting on their thrones!!!
It is being contemplated that
the ever so bright white Pyr's
may be taking on traits across the breed line...
Some fear traits from the
Newfie
(note picture above)
may be creeping up on the
Great Pyr's !
Thus,
causing these yet to be explained side effect...
starting with color
changes of the shiny white coat
And yet other professionals in the field are considering it
to be side effects
of a phenomena to be known
as a "Thibby-ism".
Be very careful Princess Chloe,
It seems to be catching !
Please stand by...
We will interrupt local programming
with any new developments !
Awww...Momma, we were just havin' fun !

South Carolina Camo
Fall is blowing in on a cool crisp breeze and we love it!
I so enjoy laying out here on the deck feeling the breeze ruffle my fur...
With the temperatures dropping it makes an air conditioned house take second place to a deck...
This week our back yard neighbors have had men on their roof...
this upset Thibby quite a bit..
I however, being a little seasoned, have seen this type of thing before...
I remember when those men were all over the roof of
the Mam-maw and Pap-paw Ryan's house..
I was left to keep an eye on them while Boudreaux ran and got our Momma !
She had explained that "that's o.k." and told us what good puppies we were for watching over them too...
We still stayed right there by our fence and kept a close eye on them!
So we have kept an eye open here as well...
Me from the deck and Thibby mostly from the yard.
He does get a little side tracked now and then.
As he runs across the yard he will pass over a couple of his favorite dirt holes...
In the last couple of days we have had several inches of rain...
giving the dirt a better holding power...
Now...I, myself have never really cared much for a dirt bath but, I over heard Thibby explaining to Momma that it was
South Carolina Camo
and
by using this he would be able to do a better job
of guarding us from any suddenly squirrel-y roofers
that might want to scale the fence and try attacking our roof!
So he will travel a path from the back fence... looking up at them on that roof... through a waller hole.. to another waller hole ..and then to look at our roof...
(can't be to careful.. they might be real sneaky like that blame New Hampshire
Great Blue Heron )
Then back around again...
As for me...
Well I will lay up here
and enjoy the breeze...
if the boy needs me
he will send up a signal bark
and this princess can be next to him in seconds.
But, mostly he is enjoying his day and his dirt.
Until next time may your fur feel a cool autumn breeze...
and for those of you that are so inclined may you find a good dirt hole for wallering.

Catching Up....
Well of all things...
Look who has dropped by
for a visit!
It's been quite awhile since last we saw you.
It has been almost a month...
Our last month has been very busy
What do you ask have we been up to?
Thibby and I will have to put our heads together and try to
remember
We have been outside
Romping a lot...
been on some road trips to the country
and to Virginia...
Momma has had to spend a good bit of time in her sewing room
In her sewing room she has been working on an outfit
made out of sequins...
shiny little round things that fly through the air and get
everywhere!
They are on her cutting table,
other work tables,
machines, chairs, and floor...
and
any puppies that may be close by.
Momma is pretty good when it comes to "multitasking"
She can cut out a pattern,
dodge flying sequins,
rub a pups belly
with her foot
and take some pictures, too.
Miss Bobo helps keep an eye on Momma,
that is until the sequins try to get on her,
then she shakes her back leg in
disgust and vacates the premises!
Me...well,
when I get tired of
the sequin showers..
I will guard Momma from
just outside the door!
Every evening Daddy comes back to the house.
When we hear his work truck pulling in
we will happily meet him at the door .
It's Daddies turn to pet us!!!
And we love it!
We love our Dad...
and he still lets me sit in his lap!
I myself enjoy the idea
of a nice rest in the early evening...
Maybe , a little "Braves" baseball
on the t.v.
However, my little brother,
Thibby is still wound up and ready to play..
When I try to ignore him ,
he has his ways of getting my attention.
He will pull my tail...
Pyr pats on the head ,
double handed pats on the rump
Gentle...
yet aggravating tugs at my ear...
Oh, he'll get me up ,
then Momma and Daddy will pull their toes in
as we dance
around the room..
In awhile Thibbs will be
ready to lay down with a chew stick
and
I will get to rest awhile till it's
time to climb the stairs for bed
***
We are sure glad you stopped by.
In the next few weeks
our little short 2 legged fellow
will come to visit us
and we will be making some
trips back to the country...
We look forward to seeing you again real soon...
One more word from Thibby:
Momma & Daddy brought home a whole basket of balls the other day..
they said they were in "season"...
(that must mean you can bring home a lot more at the time
...my tennis balls only come in 3s)
It's about the same size of my tennis ball...
different color..
and
they don't bounce or roll to well...
when you throw 'em in the floor they just go
"SPLAT"
and that makes Momma squeal!
