“I was thinking that maybe some of the younger pups out there could use a few pointers on the intricate but, very manageable art of lap sitting…
Start them out young!
When you first come home and are still that itty-bitty welter weight of somewhere between 12 and 20 pounds snuggle on up and rub some of that cuteness all over ‘em!
This is VERY important!
Now be sure and don’t wiggle or squirm too much.. they will come to the poor, poor conclusion that you are just not a lap puppy!
Whoa is be if that should happen!
It would help your cause a lot here if you “Perfect” the Big eyed sweet puppy look at this time
A little sugar (kisses) now and then will not hurt your cause.
As time goes by you will want to visit the laps of those that live in your house quite often.
This way , any added weight or leg length should pretty well go unnoticed…
Now, always be sure
and sit at just the right angle so that your person may still watch his or her favorite shows on the television…
this will help cut down on their squirming about…
Just always remember,
your humans are manageable and can be well trained when using lots of practice, love and patients …
When your humans lap is not readily available …
look around and see what else there is that will aid your comfort…
when all else fails , those fluffy puppy beds they have all over the house for you will do…
However, think about this now…
Those leather recliners or couches would do quite fine !
Until next time…
Remember in the heat of summer to have your human turn down the air conditioner for the added comfort! “
