Lap sitting, an intricate but manageable art…

“I was thinking that maybe some of the younger pups out there could use a few pointers on the intricate but, very manageable art of lap sitting…

4 09 moms day week 286

 Start them out young!

When you first come home and are still that itty-bitty welter weight of somewhere between 12 and 20 pounds snuggle on up and rub some of that cuteness all over ‘em!

This is VERY important!

Now be sure and don’t wiggle or squirm too much.. they will come to the poor, poor conclusion that you are just not a lap puppy!

Whoa is be if that should happen!

It would help your cause a lot here if you “Perfect” the Big eyed sweet puppy look at this time

A little sugar (kisses) now and then will not hurt your cause.

As time goes by you will want to visit the laps of those that live in your house quite often.

This way , any added weight or leg length should pretty well go unnoticed…

Now, always be sure

and sit at just the right angle so that your person may still watch his or her favorite shows on the television…

this will help cut down on their squirming about…

Just always remember,

your humans are manageable and can be well trained when using lots of practice, love and patients …

When your humans lap is not readily available …

look around and see what else there is that will aid  your comfort…

when all else fails , those fluffy puppy beds they have all over the house for you will do…

However, think about this now…

Those leather recliners or couches would do quite fine !

Until next time…

Remember in the heat of summer to have your human turn down the air conditioner for the added comfort! “

  1. Tibby....You have trained those in your house just right. Did Chloe teach you all about it? Especially the part about the air-conditioner? Love, Aunt Mary

    Aahhh, Mary,
Yes, both Chloe and I do enjoy the chill of an air conditioner!!! We think that it should be turned toward cool in the winter also...esp. down here in the warm southern regions of the south..and, yes she has prompted me to stand up and take a look at the control switch for this cooling device..I am of the right height to reach it..but, alas..the cover on this devices box requires thumbs to open!!! We were , yet again, foiled in our attempts to handle the situation with out help... besides.. Momma won't crank it on down to 24 degrees!!! And We would really LIKE that!!!
Thanks for stopping by and Thank you for the note!!!
It really TICKLES us to get notes!

  3. Alas! The lack of thumbs is proving to be most vexing, isn't it Thibs? I bet if you ever so gently wrapped you lips around the cover, that you could manage to get it open. Don't forget to push that little set or hold button, or all will have been for naught.

    love,
    little big sister
